With the direction of Kaye Crichlow, Organist/Choir Master, the choir and musicians have weekly practice and warm-up before the 11 o'clock services.   Kaye has a bachelor in Music from Centenary College with a major in Piano and a minor in pipe organ.  A life-long Episcopalian, she was our church organist from 1981 unti 1987, leaving to spend more time with her children.  Before returning to St. James in 2007, Kaye had served as organist at St. Stephen's Lutheran Church and assistant organist at the Cathedral of St. John Berchmans.

Music is a part of all 11 o'clock services at St. James.   On the third Sunday of each month the music style is contemprary with strings and percussion accompanying the singers.  On all other Sundays, the music is more traditional with organ and choir.

Music at St. James is an integral part of our worship experience and parish life. Music, selected to reflect the liturgical seasons and lectionary texts for each Sunday liturgy, is used regularly as a part of the 11:00 service on Sundays and on major feast days. Our traditional choir with organ accompaniment by choir director, Kaye Crichlow, performs at most Sunday services.

One Sunday a month contemporary Christian music is performed by the Praise Team along with the choir accompanied by guitars, drum, chimes and organ.

New members for the choir and praise team are always welcome. The only requirement is a love of music.
