Our chapter continues to actively live out our vows of prayer and service for St. James, our community, in our Diocese and in Province VII. We held monthly meetings, which included a devotional led by different Daughters each month. This year, we started an outreach program selecting a different organization to support each month. We facilitated an ingathering for different items each month ending with a coffee hour hosted by the Daughters with a blessing of the items by Father Fletcher. It was amazing to see the generosity of the St. James family.
2025 ingatherings included:
1. Monetary donations for Episcopal Relief to support wildfire victims
2. Monetary donations for Episcopal Relief to support Texas flood victims
3. Pillows for CADA
4. Food items for the NWLA Food Bank
5. Bottled water for Hope House
6. Monetary donations for Holy Cross/Hope House program to assist with the first month’s rent for those transitioning into their first apartment
7. Coats and blankets for Hope House and Providence House
8. Toys for the Fuller Center Christmas Shop
Our chapter also hosted a Bible Study on prayer and the She Reads Truth Advent Study this year and threw in a convocational Mah Jong Night for fellowship and fun.
We participated in events outside our parish, sending three representatives to the Province VII assembly in Little Rock in March and four representatives to the Diocesan Assembly in Alexandria in October.
